It actually started with last night. I took a long, warm bath for the first time since having Aubrey. For those that don't know - I LOVE to take baths. It's my way of decompressing from the day when the house has settled down. And to not be able to enjoy a nice bath hasn't been easy. But since my incision is healed, I decided it was time to enjoy that personal treat once again and it was WONDERFUL. I even dozed off while enjoying my bath - big surprise!
After the bath, I laid on the couch to rest since Aubrey was sleeping in her swing. Of course, it didn't take me long to fall asleep. While I was sleeping, Jayson was also in the living room playing his PS3. He was thoughful enough to take the night shift with Aubrey and let me continue to sleep (THANKS honey). I didn't wake up until 4am and found he was still playing his game and Aubrey was sleeping on his chest. He said he had dozed off a couple times with her, but he had been up the majority of the night playing. I guess he wanted to enjoy the last little bit of time off before returning to work. He has been off with me since Aubrey was born and goes back to work tomorrow.
Anyway, I took the 4:30 feeding and those after that so he could get to bed. The girls were quiet and let daddy sleep in for a while. After everyone in the house was up and moving, we went to visit my co-workers. Of course, everyone thinks our girls are precious. It was nice to visit with my peers and see them again. I can't believe 2 weeks of my leave is already over; only another 6 to go and I'll be back to the craziness of working full-time and raising a family.
Oh, and I'm now able to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans and comfortably I might add. And I don't know how I'm doing it, but I'm now 5 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight. I had some weight to lose prior to getting pregnant and now my focus will be getting back into shape. Of course, I have 4 more weeks before I can introduce exercise into my routine...but can't wait until I can.
