A girl and her kitty - scrapbook page
I've wanted to do a page about Hunter and her kitty for the longest time. And a goal of mine for 2010 is to scrap some older photos/memories. She loved her kitty and it had to come everywhere she did.

Smallest Things
I participated in the template challenge over at MScraps. MScraps is celebrating it's grand opening. I have been blown away by the amazing talent of the designers in their store. I'm so excited to have found this site right from the beginning.
Here is my page for the challenge, I scrapped an older picture of Hunter. She was just over a year old in their picture and remains to be one of my favorites.

Still here
Wow, I can't believe my last post on the blog was sometime in September! Sorry for the long absence. This poor blog has been neglected long enough, time to bring it back to life. I started this blog as a way to share Messmer Family news with family and friends and anyone else who would like to read about my little family, time to recommit to that goal.
I know that today is the last day of January, but let me talk a little about New Years Resolutions. I'm not a fan of them, so I don't make them. I do however, make goals for myself (OFTEN..haha!) My word/goal for 2010 is Self-love. I want to keep this theme in the front of my mind throughout the year. I tend to put myself to the last spot on my long list and end up paying the price for it (as so does my family). It's true what they say, I've got to take care of me so I will be better able to take care of those around me and those I love.
So, some of the ways I'm focusing on Self-love are...
*Getting more sleep
*Exercise regularly (I'm happy to share that I've lost 12lbs since late December and can fit into smaller jeans again...no stopping me now...haha!)
*Making time to enjoy my hobbies (digi scrapping and photographing my children)
*Not stressing over the things I can't control
*Balance between work and play
I've completed some new scrapbook pages recently (click on the image to enlarge it).
Thanks for looking

Scrapbook Page: Daddy's Remote
It feels good to complete a scrapbook page. Life has been so busy between work, caring for the girls and having photo sessions (things are going very well with Messmer Photography and I couldn't be happier). But with all of that, I haven't had much time to enjoy one of my favorite hobbies...digi scrapping. I still need to complete my August monthly layout and since September is almost over, I have that one to do as well. I'm still going with the SG 52 (or my version of it) and am excited that at the end of the year, I will have a scrapbook with layouts from the whole year. I've enjoyed looking back at how much the girls have grown.
This page is dedicated to Jayson's TV remote control. When Hunter wants to watch TV downstairs, she will ask to watch "daddy's TV". As with most men, the remote in our household is controlled 99.99% of the time by Jayson (love you honey). I'm not sure where he was on the day Aubrey found the remote lying around, but I was right behind her with the camera to capture her enjoying time playing with daddy's remote....LOL!

Recent Pages
Thank you to ChristinaP from Scrapbird for allowing me to be apart of her creative team for her new kit, Lazy Daisy. I had a lot of fun and think her kit is perfect for this picture of Hunter.
And this page of Aubrey, was for a scraplift challenge over at Scrapgirls. My inspiration came from ChristyVW, Caught me a beauty.
Details of both pages can be found here.

Still here....
My poor little blog has been neglected for some time now, but just wanted to let you know that I am still here. I am working on a scrapbook page and editing some pics of the girls that I haven't had a chance to get to yet and came across this one of Aubrey, isn't she just too cute for words?!
In case you want to keep up to date on what's going on in my world, you can find me on Facebook, as well as, my photography blog - Messmer Photography.

SG52 layout: May 2009_week4
I am working on getting caught up on my weekly SG52 layouts. I am not giving up and can't wait to look back at the end of the year and have a years worth of layouts that document our lives.
